Been very quiet… here’s why: FutureEverything

7 May

With FutureEverything 2011 swinging into action on Wednesday we’re speedily approaching your last chance to snap up festival passes for the UKs leading festival of digital culture.

Having produced this year’s festival everyone at Curated Place is hugely excited to see all the pieces finally fall into place.

With the FutureEverything team we’ve made some bold changes to the format moving the festival’s conferencing centre of gravity into a new City Centre location at Four Piccadilly Place.

We’ve also brought home some spectacular new arts commissions from Marcos Lutyens (in association with Absolut), Me and The Machine and Kimchi and Chips as part of the Data Dimension Exhibition.

The music programme is looking great too with the last few Gig tickets available for the stellar line up of emergent and groundbreaking music artists on the bill including The Black Heart Procession65daysofstatic performing “Silent Running”Steve Reich + RNCM Chamber Ensemble and Warpaint.

Even if you’re too skint to pay in there’s something for you at the festival with  loads happening for free on the Saturday as we explore the best in handmade, hacking and (h)innovation.

For more information on everything happening head over to the FutureEverything festival site.

(The Curated Place blog will resume normal service soon getting back up to speed – starting out by reporting on an exciting new commission we’ve been called on to do in the Netherlands during June with Andrew Brooks)
